Sound City, a documentary, tells the story of the famous Sound City Studios in California and the Neve 8028 recording console, circa 1972. Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ album was recorded in this studio in 1991 and in 2012 Dave Grohl, who also directed the film, purchased the recording console when the studio was being closed down.
